We use Famly to share photos, observations, meals, nappies and general information. We also use Famly to send out observations and a Focussed Report on each individual child termly. We post on ‘Famly’ daily to communicate what we are doing at nursery. We also send a weekly Parent newsletter, and of course handover time with the staff during drop-off and pick-up times.
No, the Montessori method encourages open-ended activities throughout the whole day at nursery. Children always have a free choice of what they would like to do, whilst being supported by the classroom’s routine.
Between 20-30% of children and young people have additional needs at some point in their lives and we believe that all children have the right to a high-quality, supportive and nurturing education. We work in partnership with parents and outside agencies to ensure your child fulfils their potential and has the best possible outcomes in their education.
Currently we do not offer half days for children. However, we offer emergency childcare by the hour for our children and reception-aged children who attended our Preschool. Bookable up to two weeks in advance.
We can arrange show-rounds before and after nursery hours and also at weekends. We highly recommend you see the nursery during opening hours so you have the opportunity to see the children engaging in nursery life. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
We offer lots of training for parents such as Yoga, Baby Sign, Montessori and Forest Schools. Parents are free to come in to present their job, hobby, culture or language (and more!) to the children. Our children have also visited workplaces of parents such as farms and shops. We offer seasonal events such as Christmas activities and Summer Fetes. The children and their families choose charities close to their hearts and do fundraising throughout the year.
